I’m sure you’re wondering what this is all about. Who is she?!

If the detective emoji in real life had a fabulous blowout and chic jewels. I’m your picky friend, obsessed with discovering unique jewelry, beauty, fashion and travel.

Since I’m in the sharing mood these days, I’ve always been obsessed with discovering the best and most unique things to lust over. Notoriously a gatekeeper, I only give curated recommendations to trusted friends. However, it’s 2025 and since the world is casually imploding, I thought why not give back a little?

Not to age myself, but I started working in fashion as an intern for Tom Ford in the early days when I was 17. I’ve worked for Tiffany & Co, as an Editor at Moda Operandi and have been in the luxury e-comm content space for six years plus. Between us, my resume is stacked even if the pay isn’t.

My true passion is jewelry, so I took it a step further and am an Applied Jewelry Professional by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and currently studying for my Graduate Diamonds Diploma. I warned you I am obsessive, but I also really love diamonds.

Since We’re Getting To Know Each Other…

I claim to be picky but I prefer to use the term, ‘particular.’

Let’s be honest. Some of my recommendations yes, may be pricey, but it’s because they’re good, not because they’re ‘in’ or a status symbol. I’m also the girl who uses Avène over La Mer because when something works it works, no matter the cost. I can’t handle when things become too popular or viral. When it comes to pretty much everything, I admire uniqueness, quality and of course it has to be visually stunning but most importantly it has to feel like YOU!

So, What’s Low Key High Maintenance?

I like to think of Low Key High Maintenance as a chic little members club of curious subscribers. Full disclosure, I’m not a writer, but I hope this serves as a shopping guide and inspiration destination that provides you with a little amusement along the way. I’ll do the research, you enjoy.

Of course, I believe we can have more than one interest so in addition to jewelry, I’ll also discuss beauty recommendations, fashion and travel. If you must know, I’m partial to Vivienne Westwood corsets, out of this world hotels, monogrammed soap, glowy makeup and marquise diamonds.

As Erika Jayne once famously stated, “It’s expensive to be me.”

When Will I Get This Gorgeous Newsletter?

• Friday is my favorite day of the week so why not reward you on a weekly basis? This newsletter will focus around a theme and will include (but not limited to) jewelry, beauty, fashion and (sometimes) home and travel. Look out for Friday’s newsletter weekly!

I feel like we would get along so I’ll go ahead and tell you a few personal things. I was born in New York City, but grew up in London until the age of 19. Before you ask, despite my UK passport and much to my father’s dismay, I don’t have a British accent. I tried there for a moment, and some have dared to say it’s more Moira Rose than full on American. I guess we can’t have it all.

I currently live on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, with my gorgeous husband of four years and my new Shih Tzu puppy Sloane. If you’re nosy like me before you get to googling I did in fact have two weddings, two years apart thanks to covid. Same guy, calm down! The first one was smaller, and the second one was in Vogue. Love that for us. Oh, and in case there was a question of my age I’ve been celebrating my 29th birthday for six years in a row. Currently planning my facelift for when I’m 47.

All that to say, I’m low key high maintenance, because aren’t we all?
